A big choice
Several solutions are offered to you on site or 5 minutes on foot while remaining in the village of Palaja, 10 minutes by car, in Carcassonne city center or in the neighboring villages or even around Carcassonne, along the canal noon. There is something for all budgets and for all tastes!
The restaurant on site (by reservation only) "S Comme" offers à la carte or menus at €38 or €42. A la carte dishes from 18€ There is also a children's menu at 17€.
At the Château de Palaja itself, we offer you a light snack solution in the evening to order in advance. Enjoy a cheese/charcuterie board in the garden for €19 for 2 people. You can let yourself be tempted by the la belle aude ice cream "made in Carcassonne", short circuit always!
We also offer a selection of bottles of local wine or a Carcassonne beer to enjoy in the garden.
Finally, a picnic area is also at your disposal.
The castle snack
Don't want to move for your dinner? you had a hearty meal at midday and you prefer to stay in the garden, enjoying the last rays of the sun?
Château de Palaja offers you in season and upon reservation a cheese/charcuterie platter selected by us or a foie gras/onion confit platter to taste in the garden or on the terrace, unless you prefer a fresh plate. Accompany these platters with a bottle or a glass of local wine, or a Carcassonne beer. You can even finish with a pot of excellent ice cream produced in Carcassonne.
The restaurant “S Comme…”
The old stables of Palaja Castle host a bistronomic restaurant called "S comme...". This beautiful establishment, on site but independent from our hotel, opens its doors to you every evening and throughout the year. By reservation only, you will enjoy French cuisine, with some Belgian notes recalling the origins of the restaurant managers. A particularly comprehensive wine list (Corbieres, Cabardès, Malepere, Minervois, Limoux) will be offered to perfectly accompany the homemade dishes. You will enjoy your meal around the bicentennial olive tree which sits in the middle of the beautiful terrace or in the modern and warm reception room with its exposed stones and beams. For reasons of guest comfort, but also because the cuisine is made with fresh produce, the number of place settings per service is limited.
Open Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday evening. On Monday evenings, during the 2024 season, we offer you our famous “hotel side” boards, to be consumed in the garden or indoors.
